Yes, fine crystal can be repaired, restored, or reworked--including figurines, vases, bowls, chandeliers, and more.

This is an example of a Waterford Crystal Champagne Flute with a chipped edge. Billy is getting ready to work on the flat mill (background) to professionally remake the glass edge. If not done correctly, the glass can break, become too sharp, or look uneven.

Damage often occurs to fine crystal and glass from use or even while in storage. Stemware with broken stems or chipped rims, sculptures with missing pieces, even bowls and vases that have been cracked in half can be fused together, and the repairs are most often undetectable to the naked eye.

We will by happy to assess your repair and give you an idea of the possibility/probablity/price of the restoration after we see it. At times this can be done through photos, other times, we do need to see the piece in-person. You may email us photos at: bill@healyglassart.com

In order to proceed with a restoration, follow the instructions below on how to ship your items to us:
Wrapping and Packing Your Item
Wrap each piece separately in bubble wrap so that the pieces will not break against each other and cause further damage in transit. We recommend a sturdy box with 3 to 4 inches of packing peanuts as the cushioning around the pieces. The best protection will be if you double-box your shipment, taking the inner box with peanuts & bubble-wrap, and placing that box into another box for shipping that is also cushioned with packing peanuts.

Shipping Your Item
Please include inside the box your name, address, phone number & email, along with a description of the damage and the amount of insurance you would like it to be insured for on the return. If you do not feel comfortable packing yourself, we recommend taking the piece to a shipping and packing store, like a UPS Store. The store will do all the packing and be completely responsible if you should have any problems.
